Dear Parents

We are starting a fascinating new unit of study on bats. THis is an effort to learn more about this frequently misunderstood animal.

In order to discover where bats are found in the area, I am asking each member of the class to do field observations near their home. With you permission and supervision your child will make evening observations each evening at duck for the remainder of the week.

Please be assured that bats are not the serious rabies threat we hear about, nor are they prone to get tangled in one's hair. They are actually our best defence against mosquitoes and other troublesome insects.

Please call me at the school if you have any questions or concerns.

Yours truly,

Bat Watch
